USES

The concrete block is a very common building material for house constructions, concrete foundation wall and slabs with a concrete block wall perimeter.

DIMENSION

Concrete blocks may be produced with hollow centers to reduce weight or improve insulation, 4in by 8in by 16in actual size is usually about 3⁄8in (9.5 mm) smaller to allow for mortar joints. Block cores are typically tapered so that the top surface of the block has a greater surface on which to spread a mortar bed. The units might show two, three or four core opening, although three cores are the most common configuration
